Mental Health Check

The entertainment industry can be tough on all of us, and a mental health check is a great way to take a moment of awareness for self! We are all busy with our lives and chasing our dreams, but how often do we take a break? It’s important for our mental health to breathe and take time to ourselves so we are not overwhelmed with life’s journey and the obstacles it presents. In a world filled with so many people coming and going you have to wonder, if everyone is ok? Are we all taking the time to give ourselves the care and self-love needed?

Today I wanted to write on this subject because It’s an important topic that we don’t give enough attention to. As a producer, director I often see the stress that can occur from the demands of our industry and wanted to bring light to this topic in this week’s blog because I care. With so many people pulling my energy in different directions daily, I try to find time for myself to focus on me and the things I love to do. Some ways I release tension and stress is by working out, going to bike ride or a quick run. Surrounding myself with the right people is important to our growth, as we all know the saying “you are who you surround yourself with”.

How are you feeling?

I also wanted to mention “EQ” (emotional intelligence) as this is such a major factor in the success of so many entrepreneurs. If you don’t know what EQ is, please research and try to educate yourself as much as you can, because this is healthy in making the best decisions for you and your future. The ability to make decisions based on your logic rather than emotions is key in your growth as a leader or just personal development and building your character. We should be building each other up and seeing our peers living out their dreams healthy and happy. 

As we grow and gain more experience, the universe will challenge us more and more and being prepared is the best way for positive results. Our health and mental wellness is key in self-awareness, staying motivated and having the energy to continue checking off those goals. Protecting our energy is overlooked so often and I wanted to take a moment today to bring awareness for all of us as we all need a reminder to slow down. The world moves so fast and so often we don’t see the things in life that really matter and are most important to our health and wellness. I love being a part of this entertainment industry, but I love me more.

14+ million views

“Before I Go” was filmed on location at M3 studios Miami Fl, and has racked up 14+ million views in three months. The art department came through with a big look, building a swamp, funeral scene, graveyard scene and even brought in a live vulture. It wasn’t an easy task to turn around the sets, but ty to max and the art team, they were right on time. Comedian DooleyFunny cameoed as the prisoner in the music video and what an awesome performance he gave!

YNW Melly mom Jamie and the YNW family came through and catered the music video with the best soul food ever! We love seeing the culture embrace love and what better way than some good ole soul food. Our Director of photographer had his hands full with so many diverse sets, Stephen Brevig lit these scenes up and they looked SUPER DOPE! Big special thank you to Ana (Kodak’s awesome stylist) for showing up and showing out with the outfits.

Young Dolph Update

A day after the death of Young Dolph, fans have been stopping at the scene of the shooting, leaving memorials and remembering the popular Memphis rapper. Young Dolph whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton, was shot around 12:30 pm eastern at Makeda’s cookies in Memphis, TN. Where he was pronounced dead. Maurice Hill, the owner of the shop where the shooting happened, Makeda’s Butter Cookies, told news reporters his employees said Young Dolph, 36, walked into the store to buy cookies. Someone then drove up, shot and killed him at the South Memphis bakery.


Fans have been gathering at the shop, remembering the star as Memphis Police searched for answers. Many are leaving memorials, honoring Young Dolph for his generosity to the Mid-South community.

Memphis police department CJ Davis made this statement, "This shooting is another example of the senseless gun violence we are experiencing locally and nationwide. Our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who are affected this horrific act of violence." Officials further stated no information about the suspect is available.

As the investigation continues, police have encouraged Memphis citizens to stay calm. "Tonight, we strongly encourage everyone to stay home if you do not have to be out," Davis said at a press conference Wednesday. "We also strongly encourage everyone to remain calm as we actively perform our investigation." Davis said investigators are still speaking with witnesses and are checking surveillance and security cameras in the area.

"We are committed to working with the community to stop the senseless murders," Davis said. "We're also dedicated to bringing those responsible for today's shooting and others to justice."

Meet The President and The Firm!

Creative Minds Firm, A visual creative content agency, was founded in 2016 by C.E.O., Mohsen M. Khaial (Instagram: @mosinpictures), who is also the President, and Executive Producer of the Agency. Mohsen, has a passion for music and production as it can be traced back to his education at Full Sail University where he received two bachelors degrees in both Film Production and Digital Cinematography, and his masters in Entertainment Business. Mohsen has taken his education and experience to accomplish achievements many strive for in their lifetime including management of social media influencer and super star, Woah Vicky, as well as having the opportunity to be the label A&R for Lyrica Anderson for the album, “Bad Hair Day”.

Carl "Video" Verna (Instagram: @videoverna), is also a big asset to the team as he serves as one of the Co-Executive Producers of the Creative Minds Firm agency. Along with his expertise, Carl provides support and creativity to his partner and crime, Mohsen. Carl's career dates back to more than two decades with his big break coming about with his role as a productions assistant on NBC's Saturday Night Live (1993). Carl, then went on to become one of New York City's top 1st assistant directors, leading him to future opportunities to work with legendary directors such as Hype Williams, Paul Hunter, Chris Robinson, and Michel Gondry. Carl, also has the pleasure of serving as the senior lab instructor for Film Television Production at the prestigious Full Sail University.
